Activate your ROOF extended warranty!

To activate the additional years of warranty, purchasers of a ROOF helmet must visit the official website www.roof.fr and complete the warranty extension form, attaching a copy of their invoice or proof of purchase in electronic format in the space provided.

The warranty extension is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.

What does the ROOF warranty cover?

Only faults relating to manufacturing defects that prevent the helmet from being used normally are covered. Subjective issues relating to its use (size, comfort, weight, noise, etc.) and normal wear and tear are, of course, not covered by the warranty.

Any helmet that has been subjected to an impact must no longer be worn and will not be covered by the warranty.

ROOF helmets are covered by the warranty from the date of purchase for a period of 3 years, and visors (except for the Irisé visor) for 1 year, for any problem resulting from a manufacturing defect identified by our after-sales service. We undertake to cover the cost of parts and labour relating to the problems identified (up to the purchase price of the helmet). Unless a warranty extension has been activated on the website, these warranty periods cannot under any circumstances be extended, even if the helmet or visor has required any repair or time out of service.

Submitting the interactive “warranty extension” form, which you will find in your account, duly completed and accompanied by valid proof of purchase, will extend the helmet’s warranty from the date of purchase. The duration of the extension depends on the type of helmet.

If you need to send a helmet to our after-sales service, please do so via your retailer.

This warranty does not cover any defects relating to:

- a helmet that has sustained an impact following a fall, an accident, etc.

- any modification made to the helmet by a third party not authorised by us (removal of stickers, painting, non-ROOF-approved accessories, fitting of screws, etc.),

- the use of chemicals on the helmet that are likely to, or have visibly, impaired the quality of the helmet or its visor,

- prolonged exposure of the helmet to a source of heat or radiation, which may, in particular, affect the colour quality of the paintwork, the internal shock-absorbing system or the lining,

- a lack of helmet maintenance,

- normal wear and tear of materials: inner lining, scratches on the visor and helmet, etc., arising from normal use of the helmet,

- a subjective assessment by the helmet user: acoustic comfort, comfort of the lining, size, appearance, colour quality, decorations, etc.,

- use of the helmet for purposes other than riding motorised land vehicles (non-riding).
