How to take care of my helmet ROOF ?
We take all necessary care to provide you with helmets high quality and high protection. Once in hand, always make sure that your helmet always gives you this protection.
Important !
For safe cleaning, never use hydrocarbon alcohol or solvent as well as products to clean windows, clean only your helmet with warm water and mild soap. Do not apply any varnish or adhesive.

#Use
It is advisable, between each use, to store the helmet in its specific fabric bag, making sure its interior is dry beforehand. Do not store the helmet next to a source of heat or UV radiation or in a damp place, or with high thermal amplitudes at the risk of altering the colour quality of the paints, of the system ofEPS or interior dressing.
Specifically for line models BOXER V8 and V8S: in order to optimize operation and sealing between thevisor and chin strap, it is advisable to store the helmet withvisor closed and the chin strap locked to properly place the foams.
#Single Shock Rule
Your helmet is designed to absorb a single impact: the outer shell distributes the impact force over the entire surface of the helmet. The cushioning depreciating helmets ROOF is composed of several multiple density shock absorbers studied to protect each zone from the head in the most optimized way. This padding layer simmers heavily during and after a shock, but the damage it suffers can be seen as it is sandwiched between the hull and the comfort padding.
If your helmet has fallen, we invite you to replace your helmet by a new helmet to ensure effective protection. Shocks can make internal changes that are not necessarily visible to the naked eye.
It is also for this reason that we advise you not to reuse a helmet second hand. A crack, a deteriorated interior covering or too old helmet under no circumstances can you guarantee your safety. We invite you to give priority to your safety and replace your former helmet by a new helmet.
#Cleaning
Cleaning your helmet done correctly will help you preserve its quality.
To clean the outside of your helmet, use soapy water and a soft cloth.
To clean the interior dressing:
- Demonstrate the different parts of the dressing (when the helmet is equipped with a removable dressing)
- Hand-clean fabrics and foams with soapy water
- Rinse lightly with clear water
- Then let it dry
- Lift up your dressing according to the instructions in your user manual helmet
