Warranty extension form

*Required field

In order to benefit from an additional year of warranty, please complete this form and send us your invoice or proof of purchase in electronic format.
ECE 22-05 Helmets: 3-year warranty + 4-year extension.
ECE 22-06 Helmets: 3-year warranty + 7-year extension.
Note: The warranty extension application must be made within 30 days of the purchase date only.

The warranty extension applies to countries that are signatories to ECE regulations (E22)

Please be reminded that only manufacturing-related issues that prevent normal use of the helmet are covered.
Subjective issues related to its use (size, comfort, weight, noise, etc.) and normal wear and tear are, of course, not covered by the warranty.

We also remind you that a helmet that has suffered an impact must no longer be worn and will not be covered under warranty.

Warranty Validity

ROOF helmets are covered by the warranty starting from the date of purchase for a period of 3 years (excluding iridium visor), for any manufacturing problem or defect detected during normal use.
We commit to repairing or exchanging the product at our expense if the defect is found to be related to problems recorded within the value limit of the helmet.
This warranty period cannot be extended under any circumstances, even if the helmet or visor undergoes intervention or replacement.
Beyond the warranty period, any repair will be subject to a quote.

Note: Sending this form, duly completed and with proof of purchase, allows for the warranty of the helmet to be extended to 4 or 7 years from the date of purchase.

Technical Points Not Covered by the Warranty

The following are not covered by the warranty:

  • Any helmet that has suffered an impact, a fall, or an accident.
  • Any modification made to the helmet by the user (paint, accessories not approved by ROOF, removal of parts).
  • Use of the helmet with chemical or corrosive products (gasoline, solvent, cleaning agent not suitable for helmets, etc.).
  • Prolonged exposure of the helmet near a heat source or high temperature which could notably damage the index colors of the paintings, the internal shock absorber, or the liner.
  • Defects due to a lack of helmet maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear of materials: interior lining, visor seal, chin strap, etc., resulting from normal use of the helmet.
  • Subjective judgment of the helmet user: comfort, wind noise, aerodynamic whistling, aesthetic finish, quality of the accessories, etc.
  • Use of the helmet for any purpose other than for driving a motorized land vehicle (non-flying).
